10,000 pageviews ago, I said pixel art would never die. But that doesn't mean that some pixel art shouldn't, say, retire or be put into storage or something.

The Morrigan sprite has lasted longer than any other game sprite that I know of. Born September 1994, last seen March 2005. She finally made the transition to 3D, but who knows how many times we'll see her again on handhelds.

it's, to say the least, not easy matching pixel-for-pixel past a certain range. Plus it turns out there's a limit on how high & wide you can go. Very very hard. But at the time, very very addictive

You'd make some interestingly expressive pixels, methinks. Maybe 'Scott Pilgrim' style sprites..?

.... hmmm. :3 Maybe as simple as that style, but one that I can easily animate, with some nice details here and there. (...just remembering what I have to do for my new job, starting next week... ^^)
